Making a Splash

A Personal Guide to Networking.

I've always networked for as long as I can remember. From changing schools to moving countries, you have to learn to develop new relationships and make new friends.

You create a network of people both in personal and business life.

Networking is never easy, no matter how comfortable you are in your own skin. To try and be remembered can feel hugely daunting.

"Making a Splash - A Personal Guide to Networking" is my perceptive take on how it's done, and where I share the tools I've created to help me through the process.

I've also interviewed other people, to get a glimpse of their perceptions and views, to give you an alternative approach.

The idea of making a splash compares networking to swimming, and how hard it is to enter the pool because you haven't acclimatized to the cold water. Or perhaps you want to cling to the side of the pool and just watch others. "Making a Splash" is designed to help overcome those nerves, or to refresh your approach.

I wholeheartedly recommend this book to both experienced networkers and "newbies". Well reasoned and explained, with loads of excellent tips and advice, it should be compulsory reading for pretty much anyone running a business, especially in the SME segment.
